At Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity, located at 2601 Atkinson Ave. in Killeen, Texas, we pride ourselves on providing decent and affordable homeownership opportunities for families in need of a stable place to live. Through our program, families partner with us to build their own homes alongside dedicated volunteers, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in their communities. Once the homes are completed, these families purchase their homes at an affordable mortgage rate, allowing them to achieve the dream of homeownership while building a brighter future for themselves and their loved ones. It's important to note that we are not federally funded nor funded by Habitat for Humanity International; instead, we rely on local partnerships and community support to determine the number of homes we can build and the timeline for their completion. Your contribution, whether through donations or volunteering on our build sites, directly supports our mission of providing stable housing solutions for families in Central Texas.
